About MMBRL Laboratory

The Multimodal biometric research Laboratory is established in Department of Computer Science and Information Technology under the UGC SAP (Special Assistance Program) Phase-I& Phase –II under the coordinator Professor K. V. Kale. The Initiative objective of this research group is committed to make genuine and reliable contributions towards the scientific community. This research group hosts overmore significant Multimodal Biometric Initiative programs annually. i.e. Database acquisition training, science day innovation and technology meets,  workshop and conferences.  Overall 20 researcher are devoted their contribution towards the social and technological invention. This research group also turns the path towards the evaluation of the social impact of biometrics technology and other emerging trends in biometrics research. The work towards advances of deep learning architecture, EEG, HRV, Retinal abnormality of Major thalassemia Disease and Brain computer interface,Pattern recognition thatoffersthe greatest potential in the era.

Under this UGC Integrated Funded Project we have developed A KVK-R Multimodal Biometric Database. With mandate to issue the publically available to every were in the web. A KVK-R Multimodal database purpose that to create a platform for biometric research community for developing acquisition and collecting the multimodal [more than 10 traits] dataset for human authentication and validation. The key requirement of KVK-R dataset is in order to improve the efficiency and database delivery services.

The various multimodal database community have frame their database methodology i.e. government of India UID, NIST, ANCI-ISO, BANCA,BIOSEC, BIOSECUR- ID,  BANCA, BIOMET,  MCYT, MYIDEA,  XM2VTS community to establish their various standards in application of biometric area. KVK-R database committee have design our own unimodal and multimodal database design tools and algorithm by using traditional several methods. Also we have noticeable equipment facilities for Development of Multimodal Biometric Large Scale Database for human Authentication and Identification.

Research Areas of Interests:
